The challenge
When we took over Obsessive Detailings’ Google Ads in October 2025, the first month’s numbers made the problem clear. The account spent about $1,800 and brought in 30 leads, at $61.28 each. Clicks cost over $5, and too much of the budget went to broad searches that would never turn into a booked detail.
What we did
We audited the account, then made changes in six areas:
- Bidding: We switched to a smart bidding strategy built to lower cost per click while keeping the ads at the top of the page for the searches that matter most.
- Keywords: We cut wasteful broad match keywords and built a thorough negative keyword list, so the budget stopped going to searches that would never book.
- Ads: We produced new images and rewrote headlines and descriptions to raise click-through rates.
- Budget: We moved spend away from ad groups that weren’t converting and into the ones that were.
- Audience: We adjusted bids by age and household income to favor the homeowners most likely to pay for premium detailing.
- Location and device: We focused spend on the neighborhoods that produced the most bookings and raised mobile bids to reach people looking to book a detail right away.
The results
The budget stayed at about $1,800 a month throughout. Cost per lead fell every month: $61.28 in the first month, then $30.48, $27.16, and $17.58 by month four. Over the same stretch, leads went from 30 a month to 102, and the average cost per click dropped from $5.39 to $2.59. Every lead counted here is a phone call or a form submission. Since February 2026, the account has brought in more than 100 leads every month.
This campaign started under GYD, which Gidds Media acquired in February 2026. The same team has managed it the whole time.
